Smith’s and Teamsters Local 14 resumed negotiations this week, exchanging counterproposals on contract language, wages, and benefits. When bargaining reconvened on Wednesday, October 1, the Company presented a proposal that included significant wage increases.

Finally, the Union and Company reached a couple more tentative agreements on language items related to holidays, holiday pay, and paid time off selection, reflecting our shared commitment to collaboration and progress at the bargaining table. The next scheduled bargaining session will be held on Tuesday, October 14, through Thursday, October 16.
